Steve has an extensive background operating multi-site, outpatient healthcare centers and partnering with hospital and long-term care homes to manage care delivery. Prior to joining RestorixHealth, he served as the Chief Operating Officer for the third-largest provider of comprehensive sleep medicine services in the U.S. Steve also served as Chief Executive Officer of HealthDrive, providers of medical, dental and vision services to residents of long-term care facilities. He spent 14 years in occupational health and urgent care medicine, including U.S. HealthWorks, where he was the Executive Vice President of Operations responsible for 115 clinics throughout 15 states.

David J. Walz
President, Business Development & Contracting

Dave is a versatile healthcare executive with more than 30 years of experience in hospital operations, financial management, business development and strategic planning within complex healthcare organizations. Prior to joining RestorixHealth, Dave was Executive Director/Vice President of Operations at St. John’s Queens Hospital, a teaching division of Saint Vincent’s Catholic Medical Centers in New York, where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations, which included bottom line accountability for a $300 million operating budget.

John V. Capotorto, MD, MBA
Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Capotorto is a Harvard-trained, practicing adult and pediatric endocrinologist and is a co-founder of RestorixHealth. Dr. Capotorto is a thought leader in the wound care and hyperbaric industry and past-President of the American Association of Wound Care Management (AAWCM). He has worked relentlessly to promote and advance the concept of a multidisciplinary team approach to delivering state-of-the-art wound care, lecturing to reinforce the best clinical practice pathways. Dr. Capotorto received his MBA in Health Care Administration from the Zicklin School of Business and Mount Sinai School of Medicine where he graduated Beta Gamma Sigma. Despite his busy lecture and travel schedule, he maintains a small but busy general endocrine practice on Staten Island, New York. Over the years, he has been recognized with the JDRF Humanistic Award for his community service in caring for children with diabetes.

Therese Hernandez
Division President, Acute Operations

Therese is a seasoned healthcare executive with more than 25 years of experience in multi-state, multi-site outpatient healthcare operations, strategic planning, acquisition and de novo development. Prior to joining RestorixHealth, Therese spent 20 years with U.S. HealthWorks, a Dignity Health subsidiary, where she held multiple roles including Senior Vice President of Operations, leading the firm’s largest operating division. During her time at U.S. HealthWorks, Therese was also responsible for the development of the firm’s merger and acquisition, de novo and strategic development programs. Therese also served as the senior executive responsible for strategy development between Dignity Health and U.S. HealthWorks.

Katharine is an accomplished senior sales executive and leader with nearly three decades of experience in healthcare services, healthcare technology and professional services. Prior to joining RestorixHealth l AMT Wound Care, she was Executive Director of Hospitals and Health Systems at LabCorp, a global life sciences and healthcare diagnostics company. She is a trusted advisor to C-Suite executives at many of the nation’s largest, most innovative hospitals and health systems. Katharine attended the nationally recognized Xerox Sales Institute after graduating from Meredith College. Throughout her career, she has been active in numerous healthcare industry organizations, including American Hospital Association, Health Connect Partners, HFMA, American Heart Association and American Telemedicine Association, as well as many state-level hospital associations.

Jeff Bowman
Division President, Post-Acute Operations

Jeff Bowman is an accomplished leader with more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of medical equipment and supplies in the post-acute environment. Prior to joining RXH, he spent the past 18 years with McKesson. During that time, he led McKesson’s national home care company, Home Care Distribution (which is now their HME business) and most recently led the home infusion distribution business. Prior to McKesson Corporation, Jeff co-founded an HME company and served as the Director of Operations for a Medicare Part B billing company. He has also served as a board member of the American Association for Homecare and a member of the HIDA Home Care Advisory Council.
